What does Bring Your Own Baby mean?

You are encouraged to bring your baby to class with you as long as they will be worn in an ergonomically-safe carrier during the workout portions of the class. This also means expecting moms are encouraged to attend for a prenatal-appropriate workout.

How is MG2 different from other dance fitness programs?

Our customized choreography and strength training routines are specifically designed for wearing your baby with 5-minute intermissions three times during the class to let you cool down and tackle diaper changes, nursing, feeding, or soothing your little one. During these breaks, moms also get some time to meet and greet one another to foster a supportive and positive environment for class participants.

What if my child needs more attention during class?

Our unique format was thoughtfully created with moms in mind, so even if you have to tend to baby for a portion of the class, you can join right back in when you are done and still get a comprehensive and effective workout.

What should I expect from this class?

We combine aerobic routines and movements with strength training to make the most use of your time in class, giving you a full body workout all while you spend time with your little one. You'll also be introduced to a community of moms who want to make working out a priority, just like you!

What carriers do you recommend?

Carriers should have adequate ventilation as well as lumbar support like mei tais and soft structured carriers are acceptable for the routines in our classes. Some trusted brands include:

  • Ergo Baby

  • Lille Baby

  • Beco

  • Tula

  • Boba

  • Onya

Who is this class designed for?

Because of the low impact/moderate intensity design of this class, it is a great exercise option for babywearing moms, expecting moms and moms with older children who want to ease back into a fitness routine after extensive inactivity or injury.

Note: Bringing your baby is not a requirement to attend, however children who attend the classes with their moms must be worn during the routines for the mutual safety of class participants and the children. Don't own a carrier? No problem. Carriers are available for a $5 rental fee per class.

  • Baby's Essentials (diapers, wipes, change of clothes, burp cloths, formula, bottles, sippy cups, snacks)
